Journal Prompts for Your Time in Adoration. | No. 03

September 5, 2019
Share

As autumn approaches and all the crazy classes begin, I’d like to spend at least a couple of hours in adoration a week in these next couple of semesters. Journaling is one of the only ways I can think, write it all out, and not feel so overwhelmed. So, I thought I’d write some journal prompts for my time in adoration and share them all with you!

But, before I list the prompts and ideas… I wanted to challenge you to ACTUALLY use them with me! I am the worst at being consistent, especially with journal prompts, but if you’re anything like me who struggles to keep my mind from spinning and turning to all the problems in my life, journal prompts really help me focus on the things I lack like thankfulness and patinence especially when I’m struggling to find much of the grace and strength.

journal prompts for when you’re stuck or struggling…

no. 1 What is something I need to let go of?

no. 2 What do I need to mute in my life to hear God’s voice.

no. 3 What is something in the church I want to learn more about and understand…

no. 4 A list of things I need to pray over more!

no. 5 What’s draining my energy?

no . 6 The differences I see when I pray vs. when I don’t…

no. 7 I can show Christ’s love to someone today by…?

journal prompts for an anxious heart.

no. 8 What am I afraid of and how can I confront those fears?

no. 9 A prayer for peace and relief.

no. 10 Prayer for God to guild me in the path of ________

no. 11 What am I having trouble dealing with, and what are some ways to move forward with it?

no. 12 List 20 things that make you smile.

no. 13 write the words you need to hear.

journal prompts for joy and thanksgiving.

no. 14 One thing I enjoy doing and why?

no. 15 Write down lyrics of a song that brings you joy!

no. 16 Something I’m looking forward to in the next season!

no. 17 One accomplishment I’m proud of this month!

no. 18 Prayer to God for the little blessings.

no. 19 Ways I see God everyday?

no. 20 A prayer for your hurrired and rushed self.

no. 21 How would you bring joy to someone who has the blues…

no. 22 How I imagine joy in heaven will be like.

no. 23 Something I’m grateful for that didn’t happen as planned?

no. 24 what do you marval at about the earth? What nataral wonder do are you most thankful for.

no. 25 What is a way God makes you laugh?

One of my favorite things about writing/keeping a journal is that I get to look back and see what I was thinking or feeling at that time.

It’s almost like a growth tracker.  It’s always been worth just sitting down and writing.

I hope that these make you grow just a little closer to God! While all of these can be like a little prayer!

Thanks for reading friends!
